1928 – Kimberly-Clark Corp. Founder John Kimberly Dies

On this date died. Kimberly, along with Havilah Babcock, Charles B. Clark, and Frank C. Shattuck, joined forces as partners in Neenah, Wisconsin to start Kimberly, Clark and Co. in 1872. By 1906, John A. Kimberly had gradually withdrawn from an active role in the company. He continued as president and retained the title until his death at the age of 90.
