Raiders Announce 2010 Tryout Dates

Racine, WI – The Racine Raiders will hold two tryout dates for prospective players interested in being part of the 2010 team. The first tryout will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Carthage College in Kenosha. The second tryout will take place on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at The Prairie School in Racine. Both tryouts will be indoors and run from 9 a.m. to noon, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. Tryouts are free and open to anyone.

Prospective players should fill out a player tryout form, located on the Racine Raiders recruitment Website, http://www.playfortheraiders.com.

The Raiders begin their 57th season of football in 2010 and are one of the most historic franchises in adult amateur football history. The team has won seven national championships and made it to the Northern Conference championship game as members of the North American Football League (NAFL) in 2009, where they lost to the eventual NAFL National Champions, the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneers.

The Raiders begin their first season in the Mid-States Football League (MSFL) in 2010, renewing an old rivalry with the Chicago (Ill.) Thunder, perenially among the top teams in the country.

The 2010 season will begin in late-June.
