Yesterday Racine Uncovered posted a picture on facebook of a 3 week old puppy that was found outside by a child. The child brought the pup home to his mother where she contacted officials and had the tiny one transported to Wisconsin Humane Society-Racine Campus.

We contacted Angela Speed with the Wisconsin Humane Society and found this out “Tonka” is in very good hands. He is indeed about 3 weeks old. Our staff totally fell in love with the little guy and he’s being fostered by our vet tech, who is feeding him every three hours. He wouldn’t take a bottle, so our vet team found a unique way to feed him – makeup sponges saturated with formula for him to suckle on. He’s a hearty eater and we’re hopeful that he continues to do well. Pups this young are delicate, especially without mom, but he’s in good hands and we’ll do everything we can for him! ”
