On 9-02-2016 at 2:47 pm Officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to the intersection of STH 20 (Washington Ave) and STH 31 (S. Greenbay Rd.) for a report of a disturbance involving multiple occupants from two vehicles. Traffic was congested. Officers learned that one vehicle had allegedly cut off the other vehicle. Occupants of both vehicles displayed hand gestures, yelled profanities, and threatened each other while driving. They began to fight upon stopping at the intersection.
One vehicle contained 3 occupants from Mount Pleasant ages: female-52, male-26, and female-23. The second vehicle contained 2 occupants from the City of Racine ages: male-22 and female-21.
A witness reported that all suspects appeared to be involved in the fight. This included one suspect who may have been struck in the face and knocked onto the ground while sustaining a small injury to her head. She was treated for a minor injury at the hospital and then was transported to the jail shortly after that.
One of the vehicles left the scene prior to police arrival. However, with the help of witness statements officers were able to identify the suspects involved that fled the scene.
In this case, four suspects were arrested and taken to jail. One suspect was not yet located. A charge of Disorderly Conduct is being referred to the District Attorney’s office on all 5 suspects. A charge for Operating after Revocation was also referred on the 26-year-old driver of one of the vehicles.
