Brenda is a 2-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix who has been at the Wisconsin Humane Societys Racine Campus since late January. She has been in and out of treatment for an unusual problem: Brenda has happy tail, which is caused when a dog injures the tip of the tail as a result of wagging it against something hard, such as a kennel wall. It can easily be reinjured. Currently, Brendas tail is healed and the Racine Campus staff have padded her kennel walls with thick comforters in hopes of preventing the happy tail from returning. But they all know that a new home will be the best environment to prevent her happy tail from reoccurring.
Brendas personality is the best – she enjoys her soft, plush squeaky toys and going for long walks. She would love nothing more than to curl up beside you after those walks. Once Brenda feels comfortable with you, she will even shower you with kisses. Brenda is also a smart girl who is working on the cue for “sit.” If you think Brenda might be your perfect match, stop in today and meet this beautiful girl. Her adoption fee is just $25 and shes been microchipped, spayed and given initial vaccinations. Learn more here: BRENDA-Wisconsin Humane Society
