Domino is an approx 7 yr old (est DOB 06/25/2009) neutered male Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing in at approx 50 lbs and is fully grown. Domino was rescued from a small, rural shelter in Oklahoma and arrived in WI April 10th. He is being fostered in Racine. Domino came into the shelter as a stray and was in rough shape. He needed immediate vet care so Lucky Mutts Rescue stepped in to help. Domino was taken to the vet and diagnosed with Erlichia- a tick borne disease. He has completed treatment for the condition but will always test positive for it on a 4DX heartworm test. Domino also has an anal fistula and is on an antibiotic for that. Recovery can take several weeks. Domino also has some bladder leakage/incontinence- does best when sporting a “Belly Band” and is currently taking Sudafed to help control his leakage. He is dog and kid friendly, cats unknown.
Despite his age, Domino remains a fairly active dog and behaviors similar to a 3-4 yr old dog. We will update his photos and bio as we learn more about him. Domino’s adoption fee has been reduced to $100+tax as we realize any potential adopter may incur some additional medical bills and will spend additional time toileting/caring for him down the road. This fee includes neuter, rabies/distemper/bordetella vaccines, microchip, dewormed, heartworm negative and on preventative and health certificate from veterinarian.
