Jack is an approx 1 yr old (est DOB 12/25/2014) neutered male American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Jack weighs approx 50 lbs and is fully grown. Jack was found by law enforcement after a raid was carried out against a suspected dog fighter in rural Oklahoma. Jack was obviously used as a bait boy. His emaciated body was covered in bites, wounds and maggots. He was also heartworm positive. Not a very good start to life for this sweet dog. For 6 months this boy endured having maggots scraped from his flesh and being restricted to the crate while enduring heartworm treatment. He endured all of this gracefully, even gratefully, because he knew it was done out of love and that he would never be abused again, that it would end, and he would be well. That day is here- Jack is healed. He plays well with other dogs, loves people (even kids) and deserves a family to love him forever. Jack arrived in WI January 10th and is being fostered in Racine. His adoption fee of $175+tax includes neuter, rabies/distemper/bordetella vaccines, microchip, dewormed, heartworm negative and on preventative and health certificate from veterinarian.
