Meet Doc: Doc is a 13 yr old (est DOB 01/01/2003) neutered male dapple colored Dachshund. Doc is overweight- currently weighing in at 17 lbs but he is working hard to loose some weight. Doc was rescued from a high kill shelter in Oklahoma and will be arriving in WI January 10th. Doc is a talkative, ‘grumpy old man’ who loves to be a lap dog and the center of attention. He likes to think he’s in charge and boss around the other dogs in his foster home. He is fostered with several other dogs of all sizes/genders and does well.
Due to his size and age, we would prefer to see him placed in a home with older or no children. Doc just wants to live out his retirement years in a calmer setting. Nearly toothless (he has 4 teeth all on the top) Doc will require some food modifications or wet food. He is not the biggest fan of a crate but does well free range in the house. He will bark to alert he needs to go outside. His adoption fee of $75+tax includes neuter, rabies/distemper/bordetella vaccines, microchip, dewormed, heartworm negative and on preventative and health certificate from veterinarian.
