Bronson is an approx 1.5 yr old (est DOB 07/26/2014) neutered male Black Mouth Cur mix. Bronson weighs 45 lbs and is fully grown. Rescued from a high kill shelter in rural Texas by a loving small town vet after he was seized by law enforcement from his drug addicted owner, Bronson arrived in WI January 29th and is being fostered in Racine. Bronson has been through quite a lot in his young life. He’s been shot by a BB gun, and his body is riddled with scars from a life he’d all too soon love to forget. He’s eating good quality food now and is taking coconut oil as a supplement. His dry, flaky coat has improved greatly since he first arrived in Wisconsin. He is kid friendly, good with calmer dogs (he does not like dogs getting up in his face or jumping on him), and was a bit too interested in the cats he has met.
He walks well on a leash and would cuddle all day long if you let him. Bronson would prefer to be the only dog as he wants to be the center of attention- soaking in all the hugs and kisses. Bronson does show some signs of separation anxiety while crated the first few weeks in a new environment. It takes him about 2 weeks to adjust and get completely settled in somewhere. His ideal family would be home a bit more than average as he is very appreciative of the time people spend with him. We will update his photos and bio as we learn more about him. Bronson’s adoption fee of $250+tax includes neuter, rabies/distemper/bordetella vaccines, microchip, heartworm negative and on preventative and health certificate from veterinarian.
