Alleged intoxicated mother charged with neglect


handcuffsEmily K Jensen, 32 of Delafield, has been charged with one count of Neglecting a Child and one count of Disorderly Conduct. She was given $150.00 cash bond. Her pre-trial conference on May 5, 2016

According to the criminal complaint, on April 4,2016 officers with the Caledonia Police Department responded to an address regarding and out-of-control intoxicated female. Upon arrival officers located the defendant holding her infant child and a witness.

The witness told officers that earlier the defendant was intoxicated and earlier in the evening engaged in an argument with the witness and pushed him while holding the infant. The witness explained that the defendant nearly dropped the baby and he believed it was because she was intoxicated and 30 minutes prior to arrival of police the witness saw her breast feeding the infant after consuming alcohol, the complaint states.

According to the criminal complaint, the defendant denied consuming alcohol and refused a PBT, but did admit to breast feeding the child prior to officers arrival. Officers placed the defendant into custody for disorderly conduct and transported her to the Racine County Jail. Once at the jail the defendant agreed to provide a breath sample, which tested .21 BAC.
