Much colder air will surge into southern Wisconsin tonight into Sunday, as strong high pressure migrates through the Central Plains. Daytime highs Sunday through Tuesday will be in the upper single digits and teens, with lows dropping into the single digits below zero, to 10 to 15 above zero.
Brisk northwest winds of 10 to 20 MPH tonight into Sunday will gust to 30 MPH at times, especially near Lake Michigan. This will allow for cold windchill readings Sunday night and Tuesday night. Windchill readings of -10 to -20 are expected Sunday night and Tuesday night. The cold weather will last through much of next week, with below normal temperatures expected.
