Attempted homicide overnight in Racine

crime sceneOn Friday, May 29, 2015, at 1:13 am, officers responded to 1200 block of Villa St. reference shots fired. Upon officer’s arrival, they spoke with a 21 year old male victim and a 20 year old female witness.

Both the victim and witness stated that they were in front of their residence in the 1200 block of Villa St. when they were approached by a known offender and five other people. The known offender and the victim began arguing and the offender produced a handgun. The offender then fired several shots in the air, and at the victim. The known offender then fled with the group.

There were no injuries reported. Officers could not find any objects struck by projectiles.
