Program Places Hundreds of Vocational Rehabilitation Clients in Jobs Across State

Holmen, WI  – Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Secretary Roberta Gassman said today the On-the-Job Training Initiative announced one year ago with $2 million in federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding is providing hundreds of Wisconsinites with new employment opportunities.

“This successful Recovery Act-funded initiative is opening doors for people with disabilities who are job ready,” Secretary Gassman said. “At the same time, it is helping employers across the state cover the cost of hiring and training new workers, providing a win-win for everyone involved.”
