Bank Robbery suspect sought by Mount Pleasant Police

On Friday, June 26, 2015 at 2:06 pm officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department (MPPD) responded to a hold-up alarm at the Tri City National Bank located at 1202 N Green Bay Rd. in the Village of Mount Pleasant. This bank operates inside of the Pick ‘N Save grocery store.

Officers arrived at the bank only a few minutes after receiving the call. After thoroughly searching the area it was determined that the suspect had fled from the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash after handing a note to the teller. No weapons were displayed. No one was injured. At this time the suspect in this robbery has not been identified. Investigators at the MPPD are following up on leads and this case is actively being investigated at this time.

The suspect was described as: white male in his 60’s, 5ft 5” tall, and very thin build. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, long sleeve possibly green or gray button-down dress shirt, glasses, black shoes, and a tan colored large brimmed fishing hat.
