Big Brothers Big Sisters new “Planting the Seeds for Tomorrow” event scheduled for July

Racine, WI (June 20, 2016)- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Racine and Kenosha Counties (BBBSRK) announces a new fundraising event, “Planting the Seeds for Tomorrow,” to be held on Friday, July 15, 2016. The event will be held at Brightonwoods Orchard in Burlington, WI from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets are $30/person or two for $50 and can be purchased online by going to www.beabignow.org or going to www.facebook.com/BBBSRacineKenosha . The event is open to the community. All proceeds from the fundraiser support BBBSRK’s professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring programs.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Racine and Kenosha Counties’ inaugural event will include awards and presentations for Big Brother, Big Sister and Big Couple of the Year awards as well as recognizing outstanding community partners of the year.

“We are very excited to host this event at such a unique venue, and to thank some amazing volunteers for everything they do to help children facing adversity in our community,” said Ashleigh Henrichs, BBBSRK Executive Director.

Guests will enjoy a casual yet elegant offering of delicious foods made by local community chefs. Attendees will also enjoy a sampling of wines and hard ciders from ÆppelTreow Winery & Distillery, a producer of small batch cider, wine, and spirits, located on the grounds of Brightonwoods Orchard.
