On 04/14/2016, Racine Police personnel continued the investigation into the suspicious death occurring at 1547 Grove Ave. During the course of this investigation, information was gained regarding the identities of individuals confirmed to be in contact with the subject in the hours prior to his passing.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the subject of this death investigation was involved in a physical altercation with acquaintances within his residence. Probable cause now exists to connect the physical assault with the victims death.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further information will be release at this time.

Original Yesterday, April 11, 2016 at approx. 6:15pm officers were dispatched to an address in the 1500 block of Grove Ave. for a death investigation. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased 34 year old male.
Due to the unknown circumstances, Major Crimes was activated and responded to the scene. At this time the investigation is on-going.
Investigators are in the neighborhood this morning conducting a neighborhood canvas. Racine Police investigators are interested in any information anyone may have regarding this crime.
