BURLINGTON, WI ChocolateFest returns for its 30th year on Friday, May 27 through May 30, 2016 at the ChocolateFest grounds at 680 Maryland Ave. off Highway 36. Chocolatefest is held on 20-acre festival grounds and run exclusively by volunteers to raise money for over 60 local civic groups, non-profit organizations and charities. Their Mission Statement reads: ChocolateFest is created to serve as a conduit for civic groups, charities and non-profit 502(c)3 entities, to join forces on a large playing field with the ability to generate revenue that will benefit their particular purpose or cause. Since the festivals inception, it is estimated that ChocolateFest well over 2.2 million dollars has been re-invested back into the community through the activities and sponsorship of these groups. Although chocolate still wins the day, ChocolateFest is just as much about giving back to the community as it is about chocolate.
