Couple appears on charges of drug trafficking

suspects Thomas J Brucker, 25 of Racine has been charged with Manufacture/Deliver Heroin (3-10g), Maintain Drug Trafficking Place, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer. He was given a $15,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance in Racine Courts Thursday afternoon. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 11th. Stephanie M Darge, 32 of Racine has been charged with Maintain Drug Trafficking Place and was given a $7,500 cash bond

According to the criminal complaint, the Metro County Drug Union made controlled purchases from the Brucker in April 2016. On May 4,2016 a knock and announce search warrant was executed at the defendants residence. When entry was being made Brucker allegedly ran out the back door ignoring commands from law enforcement to stop. Agents state that K9 Friday with the Racine County Sheriff’s Office caught the defendant and continued to resist officers’ efforts to secure him into custody. 4.8 grams of heroin were recovered from the defendant.

During a search of the residence, officers recovered numerous packaging materials, scales, cutting agents, paraphernalia, and Suboxone. Officers located Darge who told authorities that they live together at this address and Brucker allegedly sells heroin to support their habits and pay the bills.
