Fire causes $40,000 of damage at Racine Auto Specialists

RFD logoOn Sunday August 16, 2015 at 2:39 pm, the Racine Fire Department along with the Racine Police Department and Racine Fire Bells responded to a structure fire at 320 Douglas Avenue. According to officials with the Racine Fire Department, the owner of a Mustang was notified by his alarm company that his business’s building’s fire alarm had activated shortly after he parked the vehicle there. Thick, black smoke hampered firefighters efforts to locate the fire, but it was quickly extinguished once they located the fire inside the cabin of the Mustang. The fire is still under investigation. The estimated fire loss is $20,000 to building; $20,000 to contents/
