According to the criminal complaint on September 13,2016 Investigators with the Mount Pleasant Police Department were advised by one of the victims that she had received emails from someone who claimed to know the defendant. The Investigator began exchanging emails with the party and on September 21,2016 one email stated that the defendant wanted the victims phone number. On September 26th the party asked if the victim wanted their phone number passed along and stated “I think he just wants to leave you a message so you can hear his voice and he can tell you he’s ok and missed you and stuff like that.”

Investigators with Mount Pleasant Police set up a google number and on September 28th emailed the number to the party. At 10:46 on September 28th a message was left for the victim from a restricted number. The voicemail states he hopes she gets this voice mail, not to forget to delete it and he’s been trying for months how he can contact her safely. It also states that he would have preferred to speak to her in person and that he wasn’t there to protect her (possible reference about the earlier emails about the police and the interview). Through past interactions Investigators advised that the voice is that of the defendant
