Four teens arrested, officer injured in connection with car stolen from Racine Hyundai

police lightsMilwaukee Police are stating that four teens were arrested Wednesday and a Milwaukee Police officer was injured, after two vehicles stolen from Racine Hyundai in Sturtevant were located.

Shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Milwaukee Police saw one of the stolen cars traveling in the area of the 3100 block of N. 74th Street. When they attempted to stop the car, the four occupants jumped from vehicle while it was still moving, according to police.

When the suspects fled from the car they left it in drive. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle before it could injure anyone or cause additional property damage. While doing so he lost his balance and was dragged by the vehicle. The vehicle stopped after it struck a light pole,” police said. The 51-year-old officer received several injuries from the incident. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Officers were able to take all four teens into custody and they were arrested. Two 17-year-old males, and two females, ages 16 and 15 years-old were arrested

The first stolen vehicle was located Wednesday afternoon on the 6500 block of Keefe Avenue in Milwaukee, while responding to a traffic stop and a 16 year old teen was arrested.
