Germantown Police-Dog lost after car crash, could be injured

From the Germantown Police Department Update: As of 07/31 6:00am Kiwi is still missing.
Dear GPD Facebook Friends, we need your help with locating a missing, and possibly injured dog.

Today, Thursday July 30, 2015 at approximately 8:30am, we responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Mequon Rd. and Country Aire Dr. One of the vehicles involved had three German Shorthaired Pointers inside. As a result of the crash, a window broke, and one of the dogs ran away.

The missing dog belongs to Roger and Shirley Hojnacki of Germantown. The missing dog’s name is Kiwi, he is 4 years old. He may have a collar and tags or just a training collar. Due to the severity of the crash, it is possible Kiwi is injured. The Hojnacki family lives about a ½ mile away from me, I see the dogs often, and they are very friendly.

Also important to note, Mr. Hojnacki advised even though his wife was hospitalized as a result of the crash, she will most likely be released tomorrow.

If you see Kiwi, please contact the Germantown Police Department at 262-253-7780.
