According to the criminal complaint on April 23rd, officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department were on duty for crime prevention outside Club LTR in the 2500 block of Racine Street. Officers observed people blocking traffic, riding on top of vehicles, parking illegally and being disorderly during bar close.
The defendant approached an officer in his squad car and allegedly told the officer “Expletive the police”, “I’ll expletive blast you!” “I’ll expletive kill you”. The defendant simulated having a weapon and was gesturing trigger pulls with his finger, allegedly saying “BAM, BAM, BAM”. His behavior continued into the middle of the street where he continued to threaten officers, the complaint reads.
According to the complaint, based on his disorderly behavior officers took him into custody and placed him in the squad and had to deal with another separate situation relating to patrons. Officers determined the defendant seemed intoxicated, and he was transported to Wheaten Franciscan to be medically cleared. The defendant became abusive to hospital staff calling them vulgarities. Once cleared the defendant was transported to the Racine County Jail where he was placed directly into a cell due to the fact he was not cooperating with jail staff.
