Man arrested after allegedly selling heroin and cocaine to law enforcement

Franklin J. Jones, Jr. 42, of Racine has been charged with three counts of Manufacture/Deliver Cocaine (<=1g), two counts of Manufacture/Deliver Heroin (<3g), Possess w/Intent-Cocaine (<=1g), Possess w/Intent-THC (<=200 grams) and one count of Maintain Drug Trafficking Place. He was given a $5,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance in Racine Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1-28-2016.

According to the criminal complaint on three different dates in January 2015, controlled purchases were made by the Racine Police Department Special Investigations Unit. On those dates, .78 grams of cocaine base, .26 grams of heroin, .61 grams of cocaine base and .41 grams of heroin were purchased from the defendant.

On January 19, 2016 a search warrant was served by the RPD Special Investigations Unit to a residence in the 4100 block of Thirteenth Street. Officers recovered .1 grams of cocaine base, a baggie containing 3.9 grams of marijuana, a scale and other items associated with the sale of drugs. Police also recovered a cell phone that the defendant identified as belonging to him, containing messages related to the sales of controlled substances and the defendant allegedly admitted to being involved in the sales, the criminal complaint states.
