Percy Hayes Jr, 30 of Milwaukee has been charged with one count of Intentionally Point Firearm At Person and one count of Disorderly Conduction (both misdemeanors). He was given a $300 cash bond after making his initial appearance Wednesday in Racine Circuit Court. His pretrial conference is scheduled for 03-31-2016.

According to the criminal complaint on March 1,2016. Mount Pleasant Police were dispatched to Aurora Health Care in the 8300 block of Washington Ave for a 911 call for an individual with a gun threatening to kill the caller and himself. Upon arrival officers found the victim, who identified the defendant as the person who had the gun and had threatened to kill her and himself. At that point officers with the Sturtevant Police Department radioed that they had the defendant in custody.

When officers interviewed the victim she stated that she had told the defendant earlier that morning she wanted to break up with him, she did offer to give him a ride back to Milwaukee where he lives. As they were driving the defendant allegedly pulled the gun and placed it on his lap stating that he was so angry he wanted to blast the next person that pulls up on him. The victim stated that she became scared with his threats telling him to get out of the vehicle. At this point the defendant stated “You are not going to pull over, if you pull over I will shoot you” and then pointed the gun at the victim, the complaint reads. The defendant told officers that he does have a CCW license but denied pulling the gun or making threats. A 40 caliber High Point handgun was recovered from the defendant when he was arrested.
