Alexander Johnson, 22 of Racine has been charged with intent. Contribute/Delinquency (Felony), two counts of Manuf/Deliver Schedule I, II Narcotics, Maintain Drug Trafficking Place and Possess Drug Paraphernalia. He was given a $50,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance in Racine Circuit Court. His preliminary hearing is July 16, 2015
According to the criminal complaint, on July 6, 2015 at aprox 8 a.m. Racine County Dispatch received a call for a 16 year old who was not breathing and cold to the touch. Racine Police and Racine/Fire Rescue responded to the 1600 block of State Street, upon their arrival they discovered the victim who was declared deceased by rescue personnel. Officers on scene began to interview the defendant and a witness.
According to witness statements that the witness and victim had been at the defendants house since the evening of July 4th,2015, and began getting oxycodone pills from the defendant. The next morning on July 5th, 2015 after staying up playing video games and watching tv, the defendant continue to provide oxycodone pills to the witness and victim.
According to police reports the witness stated that this continued through out the day of July 5, 2015 and the witness noticed that the victim did not look right around 3:30 a.m.-4a.m. the morning on July 6,2015. The witness tried to wake up the victim and its noted that the defendant also tried to wake him up but they were unsuccessful.
Investigators with the Racine Police Department obtained a search warrant and recovered a prescription bottle in the name of the defendant in which only 23 of the 90 pills were located in the bottle. During their search officers also recovered a bong and straws from the residence that according to the complaint were used to snort the oxycodone pills.
Autopsy and toxicology results are still pending at this time
