Man Charged With Burglary After Breaking Into Two Racine Businesses

gary-jones Gary L Jones, 47 of Racine has been charged with two counts of felony Burglary-Building or Dwelling. He was given a $5,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance in Racine Circuit Courts on Tuesday October 11, 2016

According to the criminal complaint on September 26,2016 Racine Police responded to a burglary at Greg’s Pub located at 525 Wisconsin Ave. Investigators reviewed security video and it shows the suspect throwing a brick/rock through the glass doors and entering the business stealing coins. Video footage from another business shows the defendant exiting from a vehicle and and entering Greg’s Pub.

On September 30,2016 Racine Police responded to One Stop Food and Liquor located at 1711 N Main Street for a reported burglary. Video footage shows the defendant throwing a brick/rock through the glass entrance door, entering the store and stealing Newport Cigarettes.

The criminal complaint states that Investigators with Racine Police observed the suspect vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Erie Street on October 3,2016 and the vehicle owner matched the pictures of the suspect from the burglaries including a tattoo on his right arm. During the course of their investigation the defendant was also wearing clothing and shoes shown in the video footage.
