Falandric A Williams, 38 of Racine has been charged with Cause Injury/OWI (Passenger < 16 Yrs) and 2nd-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and is being held on $500 cash bond and $1,000 signature bond after making his initial appearance Friday in Racine Circuit Court. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 27,2016

According to the criminal complaint on January 21,2016 Lt. Al Days with the Racine Police Department was in his private vehicle in the area of 12th and Washington when a vehicle driven by a person later identified as the defendant, slammed into the Lt Days’ vehicle. The force of the crash was enough to push the Lt’s vehicle into the vehicle in front of him.

The suspect vehicle that caused the crash continued on for a short distance. Lt. Days believing the defendant was going to flee the scene chased after it. The defendant pulled over and fled from the scene but was taken into custody, a minor child was found in the defendants vehicle, the complaint states.

According to the complaint the defendant was transported to All Saints Medical Center to perform field sobriety tests, as he exhibited substantial signs of intoxication. Once transported the defendant could not perform field sobriety tests and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.
