Kevin T Struebing, 45 of Racine has been charged with
Fraud/Innkeeper,etc-Nonpayment (<=$2500) and Bail Jumping-Misdemeanor. He was given a $200 cash bond after making his initial appearance. Pre-trial conference is scheduled on May 5, 2016

According to the criminal complaint, on April 2,2016 Mount Pleasant Police responded to Denny’s Restaurant at 5501 Washington Ave for a fraud in progress. Upon arrival officers spoke to the manager who stated that this is the third time a male party (identified as the defendant) attempted to leave the restaurant without paying his bill.

The defendant stated to police he placed the money on the table before leaving, officers report that this was not seen on video. Officers report that video show the defendant get up from the table after receiving his bill and walk past the front register, the complaint reads.

The complaint reads as the defendant was transported to jail, was allegedly uncooperative with staff, made numerous racial and homophobic comments to officers. He was charged with bail jumping misdemeanor since the defendant was released on Bond on March 11, 2016 for an open charge of retail theft.
