Man Charged With Two Counts of Attempted 1st Degree Homicide After Shooting At Victims

dajon-daniel Dajon Daniel, 19 of Racine has been charged with two counts of attempted 1st-Degree Intentional Homicide. He was given a $100,000 cash bond after appearing in Racine Circuit Courts Tuesday.

According to the criminal complaint on November 9, 2016 Racine Police responded to the 4000 block of Marquette Drive reference a vehicle being shot at. Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim who stated that she drove a friend to the location to pick up $40. The defendant walked up to the victims and told them the party would be right out and walked around the building. The defendant allegedly reappeared and told the victims the other party was coming and then turned with a sweeping motion and began firing at the vehicle with a gun. Police recovered evidence of shots being fired that struck the vehicle and at the location.

Investigators began their investigation and were observing facebook profiles when they came across the defendant. A photo line up was done and both victims were able to positively identify the defendant as being the shooter and never having met the party. Investigators were able to locate the defendant and take him into custody without incident
