Man facing felony charges for attempted kidnapping

RCSOOn Saturday 09/12/15 the Racine County Communications Center received a suspicious circumstances complaint in the Village of Rochester. At approx. 11:23 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of Case Eagle Park for a report of a M/W approaching a female with a rope and instructing her to place her hands behind her back.

Deputies immediately saturated the area, and were able to locate a W/M traveling N/B on the bike trail from the park. Responding deputies quickly determined that the suspect matched the description provided by the complainant and detained him in order to investigate further. Prior to this particular incident, the Sheriff’s Office was actively investigating previous complaints of a W/M in the area exhibiting odd behavior. Sheriff’s deputies and investigators were actively conducting neighborhood sweeps, providing extra attention, and conducting door to door interviews with local residents, in an effort to identify the individual involved.

Through the course of the investigation, deputies were able to determine that the suspect identified as Nathaniel Aldrich M/W 11/30/94 of Waterford was the individual who approached the complainant. Aldrich was subsequently taken into custody and is being held at the Racine County jail on a number of felony and misdemeanor charges.
