Man out on bond arrested for 2nd OWI and possessing a firearm by a felon

Tammer M Sherid 25, of Racine has been charged with Possess Firearm-Convicted of a Felony, OWI (2nd), Bail Jumping-Misdemeanor. He was given a $750 cash bond after making his initial appearance in Racine Circuit Court. A hold has also been placed on him by Department of Corrections according to inmate records.

According to the criminal complaint on April 26, 2016 officers with the Caledonia Police Department were on patrol in the area of 5 Mile and Douglas Ave when they observed the defendant pulled out of a bar parking lot. The vehicle did not stop or look for oncoming traffic, was across the center line traveling southbound with part of the vehicle in the northbound lane. Officers initiated a traffic stop.

Officers asked the defendant to do a Field Sobriety Test. According to reports, the defendant kept losing his balance before the test began and according to documents, the gaze test showed six total clues, walk and turn around showed seven total clues, one leg stand showed four clues and the Romberg test terminated after 18 seconds.

The defendant was placed into custody and during a search of his vehicle a glock handgun was recovered from his glovebox. The defendant refused a blood test so a warrant was obtained. Court records show is he out on bond for a 2016 Disorderly Conduct with Domestic Abuse Assessment.
