Michael D Stoner, 33 of Racine has been charged with one count of felony Armed Robbery with Use of Force. He received a $20,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance Monday in Racine Circuit Court.Preliminary hearing on April 14, 2016
According to the criminal complaint on March 21st, Racine Police responded to speak to an individual reference an attack. The complainant told police his mentally challenged son was attacked in his residence in the City of Racine. Officers spoke to the victim and observed a cut to his right nose and cheek.
The victim stated that the defendant was outside his residence when he asked to use his phone. Once they entered the victim’s residence the defendant told the victim to give him his money and beer, when the victim refused, the defendant cut the victim in the face with a kitchen knife, stole the victims cell phone and fled the scene, the complaint reads.
The complaint reads that the victim was able to give a description of the defendant but knew him under a different name, additionally investigators were able to interview a witness who stated that they had heard of the incident and the defendant at one time lived in the area. Both parties were able to identify the defendant through a photo line up. The victim was treated at Wheaton Franciscan/All Saints for injuries.
