The Racine County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce the installation of a secure medication collection drop-box at the Sheriff’s Patrol Station, 14116 Washington Avenue, Sturtevant, WI 53177. The RASO partnered with the Racine County Health Department to obtain the drop box and provide the public another accessible location to dispose of unwanted pharmaceuticals.
Community members are now welcome to come to the Patrol Station and drop off their unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs into the secure medication drop box. The drop box is located in the vestibule of the Patrol Station and can be accessed 24 hours, seven days per week.
Unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs have been determined to present substantial risks to our community by either falling into the wrong hands, or by damaging our environment through improper disposal. A secure medication drop box is a safe and reliable option for disposal.
There are secure medication collection drop-boxes located throughout Racine County. Go to the Racine County Sheriff web site (http://racinecounty.com/government/sheriff-s-office) for the location of secure medication drop boxes in Racine County.
