Robert Renteria brought his story from Chicago to Racine on Thursday to share his life experiences with RUSD bilingual middle school students for Hispanic Heritage Month.
Renteria is an author of three books and served as vice president for a publicly traded company. Renteria’s life wasn’t always so glamorous. He was once involved in many illegal activities, but turned his life around after joining the army. There he learned the value of a good work ethic and that things will always get better, a message he shared with students throughout his presentation.
