“I would like to send out a very special thank you to a local business, JIM’S GARAGE DOOR SERVICE. I recently contacted their company to have my garage door motor replaced. They sent out two very friendly techs within a day, I believe. When the techs got here, they noticed the photos I have hung in our living room, which show my combat-wounded husband’s military service. One of the techs told me he was in the military too, so we started talking about the military, and he asked about my husband’s service. I told them about my husband’s service and deployments and how he got hurt.
After they figured out what was wrong, they told me they would order the part and how much it would probably cost. It was going to cost around $300, which I had budgeted for, but it was going to make our budget very tight, due to my college fees and Christmas. They offered to send the bill to me. I agreed. A week later, I called for an update, and the receptionist told me they would call when the part came in and would make an appt to fix it. I asked again how much it would cost, and she told me that I didn’t have to pay. I asked her what she meant. She said that I did not owe anything…it was taken care of, then I almost broke down crying. She did not tell me why, but I am pretty sure it had to do with our conversation that we had about my husband’s military service. Regardless, I want to shout out to all of Racine, Jim’s Garage Door Service is A+ service, not because of what they have done for my family, but because of who they are. They were respectful, friendly, thorough and honest!!! I also want to thank them for this beautiful gift they gave to my family!!!! They have a customer for life!!!”
