Mount Pleasant Police COP House Open House-Park dedication

MPPD COP HouseThe Village of Mount Pleasant and the Mount Pleasant Police Department are pleased to announce two upcoming celebrations. These events will run together on Wednesday, June 15th.
At 4:00 pm you are invited to join village officials, staff, and other community members at a park dedication ceremony in honor of Richard Polzin. The park is located near the intersection of Mead St. and 23rd St.

Richard Polzin has been instrumental in the development of seven Community Oriented Policing (COP) Houses in several Racine area neighborhoods and the newly constructed house in the Lakeside Community of Mount Pleasant. This effort started during his employment as the Chief of the Racine Police Department. He continues to actively serve these communities in his retirement.

Additionally, between 3 pm and 6 pm the public is invited to the LAKESIDE COP HOUSE located at 2237 Mead St. Mount Pleasant Police Officers will be available during this time for tours.

These improvements to the Lakeside neighborhood in Mount Pleasant were made possible through the generous donation from the SC Johnson company, the support of the Village of Mount Pleasant Board of Trustees, and grant funded by the Racine Community Foundation
