Today-Tuesday, 05/24/16 at approximately 9:15am the Racine County Communications Center (RCCC) received a call of a possible threat to do harm to Case High School students and staff. The Mount Pleasant Police School Resource Officer assigned to Case High School and the Case High School Administration was immediately notified. As a safety precaution, Case High School Staff initiated a lock-down procedure and extra Mount Pleasant Patrol Officers responded to assist to help secure the school.
As of this time, nothing credible has been found to substantiate the threat. Other schools around the nation have received threats over the past couple days. We are investigating whether or not this threat is related.
Mount Pleasant Police Investigators and Officers are working closely with Racine Unified officials to investigate the threat and ensure the safety of the students and staff. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
