On 5/25/15 at 8:39pm a Mount Pleasant Police Officer attempted to stop a beige Toyota Camry for a registration suspension. The driver of the Toyota, Arlance Triplett, 34, of Racine, was east on Durand Ave from STH 31 and refused to pull over while a Mount Pleasant squad was following him with the emergency lights and siren activated. Triplett continued east on Durand Ave at speeds of approximately 65 mph and eventually threw something from the window of the car. Triplett ran several red traffic signals and almost collided with another motorist. He did finally stop in front of 2301 S. Memorial Drive because of mechanical failure. He was then taken into custody without incident. Officers learned that Triplett had thrown a backpack from the vehicle. The backpack was recovered, and found to contain a scale, empty clear plastic sandwich baggies, two plastic baggies containing marijuana as well as two baggies containing cocaine. 1. Fleeing an Officer (Felony)
2. Possession with Intent to Deliver-marijuana (Felony)
3. Possession with intent to deliver-cocaine (Felony)
4. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)

1. Operating after suspension
2. Unreasonable and imprudent speed
3. Unsafe lane deviation
4. Violation of a traffic signal-red light
5. Operating left of center
6. Operating a motor vehicle without insurance
