Multiple arrests after home invasion and assault in Pleasant Prairie

On Monday, November 9th at approximately 4:00pm the Pleasant Prairie Police Department received a call reporting that several subjects appeared to be armed with guns and had kicked in the door to a residence in the 1100 block of 126th Street. They then fled from the area in a vehicle.

Upon arrival officers discovered that a subject at the residence, Travis Herzog (24) had been assaulted outside the residence then two suspects entered the house and took a TV, X-Box, and other items then fled the scene. Herzog was transported to a local hospital for his injuries and was treated and released.

Officers had obtained the license plate number of the vehicle that was involved and responded to that address in the 6300 block of 24th Avenue with assistance from the Kenosha Police Department. Three adults and two juveniles were taken into custody at the residence and were arrested for Armed Robbery or Party to the Crime of Armed Robbery. The property taken in the robbery as well as several air-handguns were recovered from the residence.

The two juveniles were transported to Washington County Detention Facility by the Kenosha County Sheriffs Department and the adults were transported to the Kenosha County Jail.

While officers were at the victims house on 126th Street several marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia were located. Three adults were taken into custody for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, one was also arrested for Manufacture/Delivery of Marijuana.

The robbery was not a random act of violence. This residence was targeted as there was a connection between the victim and suspects. This case remains under investigation.

The Pleasant Prairie Police Department would like to thank the alert citizens for reporting the suspicious activity as well as the Kenosha Police and Sheriffs Departments for their assistance during this complex investigation.

Serena Mahmudi, 17, Mt. Pleasant, WI: Party to a Crime-Armed Robbery
One juvenile male, age 16, and one juvenile female, age 15: Party to a Crime-Armed Robbery
Travis Herzog, 24, Pleasant Prairie: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Gary Leindecker, 56, Pleasant Prairie: Manufacture/Delivery of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
