MUSIC & MORE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES at First Presbyterian Church located at 716 College Ave., is a mainstay of the summer cultural scene in Downtown Racine. The 2016 Season will kick off on Thursday, June 9 and will continue through Thursday, August 11. Concerts begin at Noon and end at 1:00 p.m. All noontime concerts are FREE. Donations will be accepted to benefit Health Care Network, Racine Habitat for Humanity, and Racine Vocational Ministry, Inc. FREE CONCERT: Please join us this Thursday, July 21 at Noon in the air conditioned sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 716 College Avenue for the Music & More Summer Concert Series. Performers this week include cellist Scott Cook and pianist Fumi Nishikiori Nakayama with selections from Gabriel Faure and David Popper; 16 year old Annli Nakayama will sing several French and English art songs and play three Irish airs on violin; and tenor Michael Mueller will sing selections from Robert Schumann and George Handel. Greg Berg will provide piano accompaniment. Enjoy free lemonade and cookies before the concert. Enter the audience drawing for gift certificates. Donations are encouraged and will benefit Racine Habitat for Humanity, Racine Vocational Ministry, and Health Care Network. Church is handicap accessible with elevator at parking lot door. Additional parking is available in adjacent lot at Living Light Community Center. Come early for best parking. And special starting this week in the Chapel before and after Music & More, Ken Nakayama – a gifted photographer – and Fumi’s husband, Annli’s father – will be exhibiting his framed photographs and offering them for sale….they are small in size and affordable too.
