No injuries reported in Highland Ave. home fire

RFD logoOn Monday April 18,2016 at 10:48 a.m. The Racine Fire Department along with the Racine Police Department responded to calls for a house fire in the 1200 block of Highland. The Red Cross is providing temporary shelter to the 2 adults and 7 children displaced by a bedroom fire this morning. No one was home at the time of the fire, which was quickly extinguished by fire fighters. One pet cat was found trapped, but unharmed and subsequently released. The fire is still under investigation and officials with the Racine Fire Department state that there is an estimated $50,000 in damages
