Racine Fire Department responds for stranded jet skiier

The Racine Fire Department along with the Racine Fire Department responded to 911 calls for a stranded jet skiier in Lake Michigan Wednesday afternoon. The jet skiier was able to call the Racine County Dispatch Center from on the lake saying he was about 2 miles off short and the engine to the ski was not working. Multiple units responded. The Coast Guard was contacted. The jet skiier was located and towed to shore. He was wearing a wet suit with a PFD. He was examined by rescue personnel and according to radio reports he sustained no injuries and was released. Unit returned to service around 4:40 p.m.
