Racine man charged with selling heroin


Maurice Dorsey Maurice D Dorsey 59 of Racine has been charged with two counts of Manufacture/Deliver Heroin (<3g), Possession of Controlled Substance, and Maintain Drug Trafficking Place. He was given a $10,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance in Racine Circuit Court Thursday afternoon, according to records he is also on a hold from Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

According to the criminal complaint, controlled purchases were made by Racine Sheriff's Department from the defendant on two occasions in January 2016. A total of 3 grams of heroin were purchases from the defendant.

On January 26,2016 the SWAT team executed a search warrant in the 1200 block of Schiller Street. Officers found the defendant inside along with several unidentified pills which were sent to the crime lab for identification and Viagra which the defendant didn't have a prescription for. Dorsey's vehicles were found on the property, when questions by authorities the defendant stated that he "makes $10,000 a night gambling", the complaint reads
