Racine Police are investigating attempted robbery of Marathon Gas Station

rapd 1On Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at 11:59pm, officers responded to Marathon Gas Station, 3024 Rapids Dr., reference an attempted robbery. Upon Officer’s arrival, they spoke with the clerk on duty who stated a single suspect entered the store, grabbed an item for purchase and approached the counter. The suspect stood at the counter and demanded money.

The suspect did not produce a weapon but implied he had one. The clerk refused to give him any money and the suspect fled the store.
Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this crime. Any witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7756.
