Racine Police arrest burglary suspect

On Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 9:24 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Sydney Drive regarding a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses who identified the residence and indicated that an unknown male had made entry into the home. Responding officers surrounded the residence and observed a person matching the description attempting to leave the home. When contact was made the person ran back into the home and refused to exit. Racine Police K9 responded and was utilized. A short time later, Mr. ALLEN was taken into custody.
Two officers suffered minor injuries during the arrest of Mr. ALLEN.

The Racine Police Department is appreciative of the watchful eye of the community, and its willingness to become involved by notifying the police.
