Racine Police investigating attempted homicide on Franklin Street

rapd 1On Monday, February 22, 2016, at 11:42 pm, officers responded to the 1800 Block of Franklin St. reference shots fired. Upon arrival officers found that a home in the 1800 block of Franklin St. had been struck multiple times by gunfire. There were no injuries reported by occupants of the home. Officers also located several spent casings in the block.

While processing the scene, officers were advised that a 19 year old victim had arrived at Wheaton Franciscan Medical Center with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was stabilized at Wheaton, and transported to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.

Investigators responded to the scene and conducted a neighborhood canvas for evidence and witnesses. Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this crime.
