Racine Police-National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

rapd 1 The Racine Police Department is proud to be a member of the Racine County Domestic Violence Task Force. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to raising the community’s awareness of domestic violence and the resources available to victims of domestic violence. We believe that domestic violence offenders must be held accountable for their actions. Each year between 3 and 10 million children in the U.S. are exposed to domestic violence. It is an issue that affects everyone.

In an effort to hold domestic violence offenders accountable for their actions we are releasing the names of those in our community who have active criminal warrants for their arrest relating to domestic violence offenses. We encourage those with active warrants to address their warrants immediately. Persons with outstanding warrants may call Racine County Courts at (262) 636-3148 to request a walk-in appearance at which time they would be given a court date to appear and their warrant would be vacated. By doing so, we hope to bring offenders to justice and to protect the victims of domestic violence from further victimization.

In addition to seeking offenders, we hope to reach out to domestic violence victims and encourage them to break the silence. Help is available 24 hours a day through the Women’s Resource Center. Victims may call (262) 633-3233. If you suspect that someone you love is experiencing domestic violence, please reach out to them. Share the 24 hour help line with them and encourage them to come forward for help.

Attached is a list of those with outstanding Domestic Violence related warrants throughout Racine County. This list is effective October 12, 2015.

If you know the whereabouts of any of the wanted parties listed you may contact Crimestoppers at (262) 636-9330, or by texting RACS plus the message to CRIMES (274637) and referring to Tipsoft I.D. #TIP417 with your text message. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
