Racine Police: Three juveniles charged with strong armed robbery

rapd 1On Sunday, 01/03/16, at approximately 12:42pm, Racine officers responded to the 800 block of Hamilton St. for a report of a strong-arm robbery/assault. Upon officers arrival, they identified two victims who stated they were assaulted and robbed of their personal belongings. Both victims stated they were followed by three suspects to an area where they were stopped, assaulted, and robbed. The female victim stated that her purse was taken along with its contents, and the male victim stated that several items were taken from him including clothing items. Both victims stated they knew two of the suspects.

Officers went to one of the suspects address and observed the suspect looking out a window. After making contact with the mother, the 17 year old was located inside the home and detained. Officers searched the home for the additional suspects, and located another 17 year old and a 16 year old hiding in the home.

A search warrant was drafted and served, and items taken in the incident were located and identified.

All three juveniles were apprehended, and charged with assault and strong armed robbery.
