Racine Woman calls 911 to help a Racine Police Officer


police lightsThank you to the woman who lived in the area of Yout and Charles. The people of Racine had the backs of police officers yesterday! A Racine Police Officer made a traffic stop in the area of Yout and Charles on January 12, 2016, the defendant began to kick and fight with officer. The criminal complaint on the defendant states “Several times the officer was radioing for back up and each time Racine County Dispatch said they didn’t have him on a call. The officer yelled saying send me a cover squad now! A woman who lived in the area came out on the porch and asked the officer if she could help by calling 911. The officer thanked her for her help and she called 911” and sat on the phone with them explaining to 911 Dispatch that “the officer is out on the street fighting with a guy and he needs help”.

The suspect Brandon Scott Wagener, 41 of Racine was charged with Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, 6 counts of felony bail jumping, 2 counts of Possession of Narcotic Drugs, 2nd-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety,
Operating While Revoked (Rev due to alc/contr subst/refusal), and was given a $20,000 cash bond after making his initial appearance in Racine Circuit Court.
